A number of fuel gases are commonly used: acetylene, hydrogen, natural gases and propane.
Acetylene
Acetylene is widely used as a fuel and a chemical component (building block). It produces the hottest flame of all the fuel gases. It is the only fuel gas that creates a flame hot enough to cut steel.
Hydrogen
Hygrogen is a very clean kind of fuel, it is free of coal, and so the fume gas is pure water. Hydrogen is important in metallurgy and hydrogen is increasingly receiving attention as a medium for energy-storage which burns in a close to non-polluting way compared to fossil fuels.
Biogas and LNG
Natural gas is a gas consisting primarily of methane. The use of natural gases like Biogas and LNG is increasing in popularity because of their environmental-friendliness.
Propane
Propane is commonly used as a fuel for engines, barbecues and heating in many industrial applications as for melting, hardening, drying, cutting and soldering.
