Mobile Radio

Starting early in the 1940s AGA adopted a major focus on communications radio, then known as police or taxi radio. Radio telegraphic links were created with a stationary central unit from where a number of vehicles were controlled. These early systems had a range of thirty to sixty kilometers, depending on topography.
AGA continued to develop these operations until 1974 when they were sold to Sonab, a subsidiary to what was then AB Statsföretag.
