Rune Hoglund - Chairman in a period of change


Rune Höglund became a member of the board of AGA AB in 1961 and was chairman of the Group from 1967 until his death in 1980. His time as chairman was characterized by major structural changes and a strong focus on extended gas operations.

While involved with work as an AGA director Rune Höglund was first vice president of Handelsbanken and he became the bank's president in 1966. In 1970 he was appointed president of the retail trading company Åhlén & Holm. Following the merger with Nordiska Kompaniet, he became president of the newly formed NK/Åhléns in 1977 until 1979 when he became the company's executive chairman.

Parallel with these appointments Rune Höglund also had a number of significant honorary offices at the Stockholm School of Economics, insurance companies and various trade associations.
